For the connoisseurs of frustration that roam the plains of Elden Ring, finding a top-notch meal usually isn't too much of a priority.

After all, when you’re having a difficult time mowing through bosses armed only with some medieval firepower and a motivational pep talk from Israel Adesanya, evading getting stepped on long enough to bag a takeaway from a Binley Mega Chippy walking mausoleum might seem like an unnecessary risk to take.

Thankfully, a modder has now stepped in to ensure that The Tarnished can enjoy some Gordon Ramsay-level delicacies at regular intervals throughout the hard journey through the game.

The Food In Elden Ring Will No Longer Be Tarnished

The mod in question is simply called ‘Gourmet’ and is the work of prolific Dark Souls modder ElFonz0, whose previous mods have made burning weapons usable in Dark Souls 3 and added more colour variety to that game’s crystal lizards, and another modder named Rhodan.

This time, they’ve decided to delve into the world of culinary excellence, devising and creating a mod adding tons of new craftable food and drinks to the game in only seven days as part of the 2022 Elden Ring Modathon event.

So, what kind of delicacies can you look forward to? Well, how does a few Godfrey’d eggs, twinned with some fried godskins and washed down with a few dozen Bloody Malenias sound?

If that’s music to your ears, then you’ll want to install away and head straight to see Patches from whom you’ll be able to purchase the gourmet's cookbook, the tome which contains all of the recipes you’ll need to make the meal of your dreams.

If, by chance, Patches has met a rather unfortunate end in your current playthrough, turning in his bell bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks should allow you to buy the cookbook there instead.

Regardless of how you get your hands on the culinary tome, once you’ve got it, make sure to throw on your gourmet’s cowl to affirm your chefly status and gain some extra buffs applied to what you cook up.

Also, if you’re installing the mod, make sure to grab mod engine 2 as your first ingredient, as this is needed to make your culinary experience taste just right.

So, set the table, sit down, tuck in, and make sure to follow us for more updates on the wacky worlds of Elden Ring, Skyrim, and Fallout modding.
