Respawn Interactive have a massive Halloween treat in store for Apex Legends players this season, with the announcement of the Doppelgangers collection event. Get ready for a new Halloween-themed game mode, 24 new spooky cosmetics, and some seasonally-appropriate map alterations.
The Doppelgangers collection event will run from October 17 to October 31, giving you two weeks to experience the Halloween event in Apex Legends.
Included in the Doppelgangers event will be the new holiday mode: Trick N' Treat Trios, where players will hunt for candy as they play to get themselves buffs to their EVO points or Ultimate charge. Alternatively, candy can be traded for a Copycat Kit. This brand new item to Apex Legends will allow you to have two Legend abilities for the rest of the game.
Also coming in the event will be new Halloween-themed cosmetics for Legends such as Newcastle, Wraith and Vantage. You'll be able to pick up these items using Apex Coins or Crafting Metals. However, you'll only be able to do this for the duration of the Doppelgangers event.
Collecting all Doppelganger cosmetics will automatically reward you with Revenant's prestige skin. This skin is unique in that, once unlocked, you can level up the skin by completing specific challenges to unlock a higher-tiered cosmetic.
Alongside the Doppelgangers event content, each one of Kings Canyon, World's Edge, and Olympus will be getting a spooky seasonal "After Dark" makeover. You'll have a fitting setting to haunt and surprise your opponents in this Halloween.
