The entire community was disappointed when Epic Games recreated Among Us within Fortnite without crediting InnerSloth. There was a lot of back and forth on Twitter about the same, but there was no concrete resolution to it.
Finally, after the Fortnite 18.20 update, Epic Games chose to credit the developers behind the world's most popular social deduction game.
What's more, given the kind of interaction that we've been seeing on Twitter, there is a high chance that both these companies will probably engage in a collaboration some time soon.
When is the Fortnite x Among Us collaboration officially happening?
There isn't a specific date to this collaboration for now. The gates for the collaboration, however, opened up when Epic Games chose to give credit to InnerSloth Studios, and went on to admit that the Fortnite Impostors mode was inspired from Among Us.
Although this is the only time Epic Games decided to mention the game or the studio, it's still better than not mentioning them at all. It was somewhat disappointing to see a big studio like Epic Games make a knock off version of a popular social deduction game like Among Us, without any credit.
Either way, Epic Games has improved their stance and here's to hoping that the relationship improves from this point forward.
That being said, in the recent tweet where they announced the patch notes, Epic Games made it evident that they would want to work together with InnerSloth Studios.
As mentioned before, there isn't any specific date or time for the release of the said collaboration. Not only that, we're not sure what this collaboration would lead to. Personally, I would like to believe that there could be an Among Us themed skin in the works, but there could be something more as well.
For now, this is just a teaser. We will know what the real deal is in the upcoming days.
