The Sky Fire event revealed numerous details about what to expect from Season 8. At the same time, Kevin the Cube, one of Fortnite's oldest power sources has made a triumphant return to the island.

Kevin is here, and he brought along his brothers as well. For the first time in Fortnite's history, fans will get to see multiple versions of Kevin the cube all around the Island. So, if you're eager to know more about the hidden details about the current season, then we have you covered.

Here's everything you may have missed from the Sky Fire event in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8.

Everything You Missed In Fortnite The Sky Fire Event

The Sky Fire event revealed copious details about the Aliens who invaded the island in Season 7. Players teamed up with Doctor Slone from the IO to protect and preserve the Fortnite reality. They entered the mothership and rigged bombs to bring it down, but right before the detonation, Kevin the cube appeared.

This changed the entire dynamics of the event, and players were intrigued to see multiple purple versions of Kevin. However, that's not all, there might be a better version of Kevin the cube still on the mothership.

#1 Golden Kevin the Cube

The Sky Fire event revealed that Kevin is not the only cube in existence. In fact, there were thousands of purple cubes on the Alien mothership. There was a moment when all of the cubes were showcased in the event, and fans got a glimpse of what Season 8 has to offer.

Amidst all the purple cubes, there was a golden version of Kevin hiding on the horizon. Community experts are speculating that the golden Kevin controls all the cubes, and is the most powerful of the lot.

It will be interesting to see how the narrative develops after these changes, especially with the new golden power source that was teased in the Sky Fire Event.

#2 Aliens Looking For Jonesy

Jonesy, one of the pivotal characters in Fortnite, mysteriously disappeared in Season 7. Doctor Slone gave up on the search to find him, but it seems that the Aliens did not.

During the Sky Fire event, players got to see a chalkboard that showed that the Aliens were also tracking Agent Jonesy. The Aliens had chalked out all the four variants of Agent Jonesy and it looked like they connected him to the cube. It is almost as if the Aliens were studying Jonesy to locate him.

His importance in the Fortnite universe remains shrouded at this point, but there is a possibility that Jonesy might return in Season 8.

Fortnite Chapter 2 has introduced some of the most notable NPCs in the game. The Ghost and the Shadow Henchmen were present on the map throughout Season 7, and fans want to see them in Season 8 too.

Players got a glimpse of the iconic NPC duo inside the mothership. They were trapped inside an incubator room full of Alien eggs. Interestingly, during the last sequence from the Sky Fire event, players could spot these two falling from the mothership.

#4 Midas' Golden Chair

Players who are active since the first season of Chapter 2 will remember Midas' golden chair. Midas is another pivotal character in Fortnite's storyline who is now missing.

Nevertheless, Midas' chair made an appearance in the Sky Fire event. It was also seen when players entered the slip-stream in the mothership. Fans are considering this to be a major hint from the developers foreshadowing Midas' return to Fortnite Island.

#5 Doctor Slone's Betrayal

Doctor Slone became one of the anchors of Fortnite's storyline, especially after Agent Jonesy' disappearance. However, during the Sky Fire event, Slone betrayed the players and left them to die on the mothership. It was Kevin the Cube who eventually saved the players after a successful reboot.

Right after the bombs were armed, Doctor Slone said: "You played your part. Now I have to play mine. We are fighting a war in which we are hopelessly outgunned. I won't bring you home. Not if there is a chance that thing can make it back to the island."

Her intentions to defend the island may be noble, but she is willing to sacrifice everyone to destroy the Aliens. It will be interesting to see how Doctor Slone fits as an antagonist in Fortnite Season 8.
