Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Sets March 2022 Release, Pre-Order Details Revealed

After being revealed at this year's E3 showcase, a launch date is now set for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. Revealed at Square Enix's Tokyo Games Show event, Stranger of Paradise is launching on March 18, 2022. Players can get a preview of what's to come through a second demo, which is available today.

The official synopsis of the highly-anticipated title has also been revealed:

STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN blends challenging and strategic action gameplay with the world and lore of the FINAL FANTASY series to create a unique action RPG experience. Join Jack and his allies as they throw open the gates to the Chaos Shrine and step into a world of dark fantasy and exhilarating battles to discover if they are truly the Warriors of Light the prophecy foretold.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Sets March 2022 Release, Pre-Order Details Revealed

Alongside a standard edition, players can also pre-order a Digital Deluxe Edition which contains:

  • Digital artbook
  • Digital mini soundtrack
  • DLC Season Pass - includes additional missions: ‘Trials of the Dragon King, ‘Wanderer of the Rift’, and ‘DIFFERENT FUTURE’.

Users who pre-order before the deluxe or standard edition on PlayStation will also receive:

  • 72-hour early access to the full game
  • PS4 theme
  • “Braveheart” weapon and the Lustrous Shield
  • Early purchase incentive to the “Rebellion” weapon

This prequel launches on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Players who buy the game on PS4 can upgrade to the PS5 completely free, while Xbox players can access the next-gen version through Smart Delivery.

Square Enix has also released its second demo, Trial Version 2 for the spin-off and contains multiplayer features. Players can also give their feedback on the demo through a survey that opens on October 18th.
