Everything Square Enix Announced at Tokyo Game Show 2021


Tokyo Game Show 2021 kicked off yesterday and following strong presentations from Xbox and Capcom, Square Enix took to the stage earlier today, having previously announced the return of Square Enix Presents and their full TGS schedule.

Sadly, we didn't get any major groundbreaking announcements like Final Fantasy XVI news, but we got a few updates of interest. If you missed the stream but are looking to find out more, here's what Square Enix unveiled earlier today:

Forspoken Trailer

To begin today's presentation, Square Enix gave us a brand new look at Forspoken, which launches next year on PS5 and PC:

Life is Strange: True Colors And Remastered Trailers

Square Enix announced that as part of their localisation work, Life is Strange: True Colors and Life is Strange: Remastered Collection would receive full Japanese language support. We've included both trailers below:

Dungeon Encounters Reveal

Dungeon Encounters was Square Enix's only new reveal during their TGS presentation. Created by Final Fantasy veteran Hiroyuki Ito, that launches on October 14th, across PC via Steam, Switch and PlayStation 4, and here's the reveal trailer.

Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier Gameplay Trailer

We got a fresh look at Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier during this. Available worldwide in 2021 on iOS and Android. An English trailer was seen in the full stream below but as that's not been uploaded yet separately, here's the Japanese trailer.

Chocobo GP Trailer

Following their announcement last week, we got a slightly extended look at Chocobo GP, revealing details about a Story Mode. That arrives in 2022, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.

Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Gameplay Trailer

Following on from a PS5 exclusive demo earlier this year, Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin got a new trailer. Introducing new characters - including our fourth Warrior of Light - and a look at some gameplay footage. That launches on March 18th 2022, and a second demo is launching across PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. You can find that below:

Full Square Enix Presents Stream
