The FUT Birthday promotion is over, which means we are one step closer to the Team of the Season!

We are expecting to see the formalities begin at the end of the month before the squads start rolling out from the beginning of May.

With that in mind, it's time to look at who is in line for a TOTS spot when the end of the year promotion comes around.

Bundesliga TOTS

The German top flight is one of the most popular leagues within FIFA 21, so there will many hoping for some big name inclusions here.

There is a fair chunk of the season still to play, but as things stand, here is who we are expecting to see!

Starting XI

Manuel Neuer (95 OVR)

There's only one man for the goalkeeper position, and that is Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer.

We're not expecting Neuer to eclipse the 96 OVR he was handed on his TOTY card, though at a 95 OVR, he'd still be one worth packing!

Raphaël Guerreiro (93 OVR)

The first name in the back four is going to be Borussia Dortmund's Raphaël Guerreiro.

The Portuguese international has been a mainstay in the Dortmund setup this season, with his attacking ability key to Dortmund's overlapping play.

Dayot Upamecano (93 OVR)

Upamecano has been in fine form for RB Leipzig this season, securing himself a move to Bayern Munich as a result.

The Frenchman is a fan favourite on FIFA due to his pace, which could well eclipse the 90 mark should he be handed a TOTS card in FIFA 21.

Matthias Ginter (92 OVR)

Next to Upamecano at the heart of the Bundesliga defence will be Borussia Monchengladbach's Matthias Ginter.

The German has been the standout performer for Marco Rose's side this season, putting himself in contenion for a starting role for Germany at this summer's European Championships.

Ridle Baku (89 OVR)

Making up the back four will be Wolfsburgs, Ridle Baku.

The German leads the Bundesliga in both sprints and intensive runs so far this season, so he could provide a great wing back option for those playing with a five at the back.

Joshua Kimmich (95 OVR)

Moving onto the midfield now where we find Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich.

The German holding midfielder has had a plethora of special cards so far this year, and we expect that to continue with a 95-rated TOTS card.

Leon Goretzka (94 OVR)

It's a Bayern dominated midfield in our Bundesliga TOTS predictions, with the versatile Leon Gortezka also set to feature.

This could be the best card of the TOTS promotion, with Gortezka likely to see the vast majority of his base stats jump into the 90's.

Thomas Muller (96 OVR)

Making up the midfield three will be yet another Bayern Munich favourite, in the form of veteran forward, Thomas Muller.

Muller has dropped into a deeper role in recent years, but it hasn't hindered his game as he has been a dominant force in Bayern's quest for yet another title.

Jadon Sancho (96 OVR)

There was doubts over Sancho's Dortmund future ahead of the season, but he has certainly put the uncertainity behind him with a stellar season so far.

His long term future remains uncertain, but one thing that is for sure, he'll be a TOTS player in FIFA 21.

Erling Haaland (97 OVR)

There's two spots left in the starting eleven, and there's no prizes for guessing who we're going to pick.

Erling Haaland is one of the hottest properties in world football right now, and with 21 goals already this season, he's a shoo-in for a TOTS spot.

Robert Lewandowski (99 OVR)

Completing the starting eleven is Robert Lewandowski.

The Bayern Munich man is the best player in the world right now and, with 35 goals and counting, there's simply no chance that he won't feature.

Honourable Mentions

Of course there is still plenty of the season left to be played, and with that in mind, the following players could well force there way into contention:

  • Andre Silva (95 OVR)
  • Filip Kostic (93 OVR)
  • Wout Weghorst (92 OVR)
  • Alphonso Davies (92 OVR)
  • Christopher Nkunku (91 OVR)
