It’s Team of the Year week in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team, but outside of the TOTY excitement, there’s still a tonne of content to look forward to it Week 17 of FUT.
Another decent Team of the Week is in store, with players like Varane taking the spotlight. We also take a first look at the January Player of the Month race, with only the Premier League and La Liga in action, before taking a look at some potential Marquee Matchups inclusions for the week.

January Player of the Month Update
It’s the start of a new month in FUT and real world football, meaning the start of a new Player of the Month race.
Premier League
With a relatively low scoring first week this month, only Jesus and Noble have 2 goals or more, meaning they lead the race. Still plenty of time to go here though!
Ligue 1
No games played in Ligue 1, they’re back in action this weekend!
Bundesliga
No games played in the Bundesliga, they’re back in action starting Friday Jan 17th!
La Liga
Again, a relatively low scoring opening week in La Liga, with Varane and Unal topping the charts with their 2 goal performances.

Marquee Matchups Week 17 Prediction
Another week of Marquee Matchups predictions, we’ve been doing really well with these of late, let’s keep the run going!
Spurs - Liverpool
The rematch from the 2018/19 Champions League final, and a big game in the Premier League. I can see this one being included pretty comfortably.
Roma - Piemonte Calcio
Despite Serie A being included in Week 16, I can see this clash of top teams being included in Marquee Matchups this week.
PSG - AS Monaco
A couple of top clubs going up against each other in Ligue 1, a pretty safe inclusion for MMs this week.
Cardiff - Swansea
The South Wales derby looks to be a good lower league fixture to be thrown into MMs this week.
