How to Find Your Badge in Disco Elysium

To find your badge in Disco Elysium, you need to wait until day three at least. The badge is actually inaccessible until then, as it’s located across the water lock on the West side of the Martinaise Waterfront. The lock is broken at the start of the game and you won’t be able to cross it until the workmen have finished repairing it. There’s no way to speed up this process, and no matter what you do, they won’t be finished until the morning of the third day. Once you wake up, head straight there and interact with the lock’s controls to close it, giving you a path across to the other side. Your badge is close now.

Badge Location

Your badge is located in the crashed police car nearby. Once you’ve crossed the lock, you need to follow the following steps to get your badge.

  • Head North (not far) until you see some tire tracks.
  • Follow the tracks to the crashed car, half submerged in the water.
  • Interact with the car and choose to wait until the tide lowers.
  • Interact with the car roof again and get your badge!

The badge itself can be interacted with from your inventory, which’ll cause you to learn more about yourself and your past. Of course, this is entirely optional. Maybe for you, self-awareness is overrated?
