Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen Weekly Challenges: All Challenges Available

Season of the Chosen is well underway, and Destiny 2 will now receive weekly challenges to encourage players to sample different content types.

We can also expect some challenges for the upcoming Guardian Games event, although these aren't part of the seasonal ones.

These will replace weekly bounties, and give players something to strive toward across PvE and PvP content of all levels.

With ten weeks of challenges, the full list is available below.

What Are Destiny 2 Weekly Challenges?

Guardians can expect ten weeks of challenges over the course of Season of the Chosen.

Challenges will range from easy (Strike completions) all the way up to tougher ones like winning Trials of Osiris matches and completing the weekly Nightfall.

Not only will players be rewarded with XP to go towards their Season Pass, but there's also Bright Dust up for grabs. Bungie said players can earn around 34,000 Bright Dust by completing every challenge, meaning you can unlock plenty of cosmetics.

There also seems to be one "big" reward per week.

Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen Challenges: Week 10

• ...The Harder They Fall: Defeat Elite or Boss Cabal in the Proving Grounds Strike.
• Explosive Conclusions: Use a Rocket Launcher or grenades to defeat combatants anywhere in the system. Bonus progress for rapidly defeating Cabal.
• Lenses In Focus: Go to the Prismatic Recaster and discover how to unlock more lenses.
• In Your Element: Defeat Guardians in the Iron Banner with Elemental takedowns. Earn bonus progress for Stasis takedown.
• Warrior From Beyond: In Strikes, defeat combatants with elemental final blows. Earn bonus progress by defeating combatants with Stasis.

Week 10 Rewards

• Just XP and bright dust this week!

Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen Challenges: Week 9

• Convex Convergence: Focus Tier 3 Umbral Engrams.
• Suited For Combat: Defeat targets anywhere in the system with a full armor set. Bonus progress for defeating Guardians. 400 total kills.
• Dire Portents: Complete Exotic quest “Presage” on Normal or Master difficulty. Complete the quest three times.
• ... And Fell The Giants: Stagger, pierce, or disrupt Champions. 50 staggers, pierces, or disruptions.
• Feels Good To Be Bad: Defeat Guardians in Gambit. Earn bonus progress for defeating them as an Invader.

Week 9 Rewards

Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen Challenges: Week 8

• Nightfall Proving Grounds - Defeat combatants using a Linear Fusion Rifle or Sidearm in the Nightfall: The Ordeal version of the Proving Grounds strike
• Small-Caliber Contender – Defeat combatants in Legendary Lost Sectors using Sniper Rifles, Submachine Guns, Rocket launchers, or Bows.
• Lenses In Focus – Go to Prismatic Recaster and discover how to unlock more lenses.
• Clearing the Inner Circle – Defeat Primeval Envoys in Gambit
• Trial by Firing Squad – Win multiple rounds in the Trials of Osiris
• Decisive Strike – Acquire the Oabacea ornament for the Salvager's Salvo Grenade Launcher

Week 8 Rewards

Trial by Firing Squad can net you a Trials of Osiris weapon.

Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen Challenges: Week 7

• Contender’s Ascent VI – Complete the “Challenger’s Proving VII” quest, then defeat Cabal using an SMG anywhere in the system
• Proving Grounds Trifecta – Complete the following in the Proving Grounds strike: finish the mission, defeat combatants, and deposit a Power Core in the undercarriage of the land tank
• Diplomacy or Death – Listen to intercepted transmissions at the radio kiosk in the H.E.L.M.
• One Against Many – Calibrate weapons by rapidly defeating 3 or more combatants
• Gambit Salvager's Salvo – Acquire the Toxicology ornament for the Salvager's Salvo Grenade Launcher
• Beyond Legendary – Earn Valor Ranks

Week 7 Rewards:

Contender's Ascent VII unlocks Extraordinary Rendition.

Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen Challenges: Week 6

• Contender’s Ascent VI – Complete the “Challenger’s Proving VI” quest, then defeat Cabal using a Bow anywhere in the system
• Small-Caliber Contender – Defeat Combatants using a submachine gun. Battlegrounds missions grant the most efficient progress (400)
• Nightfall Variety Attack – Defeat combatants using Sniper Rifles, Submachine Guns, Rocket Launchers, or Bows in Nightfall: The Ordeal (80)
• Cabal Contenders – Defeat Elite or Boss Cabal anywhere in Battlegrounds missions (65)
• Once Chosen, Now Fallen – Calibrate weapons against Fallen. Earn bonus progress for precision final blows
• Kill Them With Style – Acquire the Pyretic ornament for the Salvager's Salvo Grenade Launcher
• Conquest of the Mighty – Complete any Nightfall: The Ordeal Strike on Grandmaster

Contender's Ascent VI unlocks Imperial Needle.

• Contender’s Ascent V – Complete the “Challenger’s Proving V” quest
• Golden Reaper – Acquire (500) Cabal Gold 
• Graven Scrawl – Investigate cryptic notes left in the captain's log 
• Lenses In Focus – Go to the Prismatic Recaster and discover how to unlock more lenses
• Apex Armorer – Masterwork a piece of armor 
• Salvagaer's Salvo Armament – Acquire the Seasonal Ritual weapon
• In It For Infamy– Earn Infamy Ranks in Gambit 
• Ultimate Champion – Defeat Guardians in any Nightfall: The Ordeal strikes. Earn bonus progress at higher difficulty tiers

Week 5 Rewards:

Contender's Ascent V unlocks "Empress", but we still don't know what that could mean. It's likely to be tied to the overall story of the season, though.

• Contender’s Ascent IV –  Complete the “Challenger’s Proving IV” quest, defeat 50 Cabal using sniper rifles
• Golden Reaper – Acquire (400) Cabal Gold 
• Intruder Alert – Don’t allow opponents to interrupt Ghost (2) in Battlegrounds missions 
• Explosive Entrance – Defeat (10) Champions and get (45) grenade takedowns in Battlegrounds 
• Contender’s Delve – Complete a Lost Sector on Legend or higher 
• Challenger’s Cipher – Decrypt (5) Prime Engrams 
• Sling the Stone… –  Stagger, pierce, or disrupt (30) Champions 
• High-Value Hunter –  Defeat (75) powerful combatants in Gambit. Earn bonus progress for defeating high-value targets
• Cadre of Contenders – Complete (15) Crucible matches in the Competitive playlist 
• Vanguard Chosen – Complete any (3) Nightfall: The Ordeal strike on Hero difficulty or higher 

Week 4 Rewards:

Contender's Ascent IV offers the Far Future sniper rifle.

Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen Challenges: Week 3

• Contender's Ascent III - Report to the War Table in H.E.L.M. and complete the Challenger's Proving III quest (likely tied to the new Battleground that has been added)
• Golden Reaper - Acquire Cabal Gold by playing Strikes, Gambit, Crucible, Public events and more (300)
• Crash And Converge - Smash 10 Tribute Chests and focus 10 Season of the Chosen Engrams using Charges from the Hammer of Proving
• Captain's Log - Leave no stone unturned aboard the Glykon (the Presage quest)
• Failsafe Forward - On Nessus, earn progress by completing bounties (10), patrols, public events and lost sectors
• Challenger's Apogee - Reach Power Level 1300 by earning powerful rewards and Prime Engrams.
• Algorithmic Precision - Calibrate weapons with precision final blows on Nessus.
• Primeval Entourage - Defeat Taken in Gambit. Earn bonus progress for defeating tougher combatants
• Iron Sharpens Iron - Complete Iron Banner matches
• Challenge Our Foes - Complete playlist Strikes (5)

Week 3 Rewards:

Contender's Ascent III unlocks "Empress", but we still don't know what that could mean. It's likely to be tied to the overall story of the season, though.

• Contender's Ascent II - Report to the War Table in H.E.L.M. and complete the
• Challenger's Proving II quest (likely tied to the new Battleground that has been added)
• Golden Reaper - Acquire Cabal Gold by playing Strikes, Gambit, Crucible, Public events and more (200)
• Crash And Converge - Smash 10 Tribute Chests and focus 10 Season of the
• Chosen Engrams using Charges from the Hammer of Proving
• The Bigger They Are - Defeat Elite or Boss cabal anywhere in the system (60)
• Trials of the Tinker - Unlock artifact mods (12)
• Chosen Cosmonaut - In the Cosmodrome, earn progress by completing bounties (10), patrols, public events and lost sectors
• Expose To The Elements - Calibrate elemental weapons in the Cosmodrome.
• Drifter's Chosen - Earn points by banking Motes, defeating Blockers and defeating Invaders in Gambit (250).
• Entertain Lord Shaxx - Complete matches in the Showdown Crucible playlist. Earn bonus progress for wins
• Dominance Operandi: Cabal - Defeat Cabal bosses in strikes.

Week 2 Rewards:

• Contender's Ascent - Complete Challenger's Proving Quest and kill 75 Cabal with Rocket Launchers
• Golden Reaper - Acquire Cabal Gold by playing Strikes, Gambit, Crucible, Public events and more
• Crash And Converge - Smash 5 Tribute Chests and focus Season of the Chosen Engrams using Charges from the Hammer of Proving
• Lenses In Focus - Participate in the Battlegrounds playlist to unlock your first lens
• Challenger's Aspiration - Complete 3 weekly playlist challenges
• Icebound - On Europa, earn progress by completing bounties (10), patrols, public events and lost sectors
• Hail of Bullets - Calibrate Kinetic weapons on Europa. Earn bonus progress in lost sectors.
• Dredgin' Up Victory - Complete Gambit matches. Earn bonus progress for wins
• Flourish of Power - Defeat Guardians in the Mayhem playlist with Super Abilities
• Dominance Operandi: Fallen - Defeat Fallen combatants in strikes. Earn bonus progress for defeating tougher opponents.

As for Rewards, it looks as though players can earn the Code Duelo rocket launcher for completing Contender's Ascent.
