Dead by Daylight can be a little grindy at times with levelling up, but it's all worth it if you're looking to Prestige a character.
If the title of 'Prestige' sounds fancy, then let us reassure you by saying that to Prestige a character is well worth it, especially if you have a favourite Survivor or Killer that you want to show your dedication to.
How to Prestige a Character in Dead by Daylight
If you're new to Dead by Daylight, the first thing you need to know is that there are three levels of Prestige. These Prestige levels are linked to earning the Bloody Clothes cosmetics, a replacement for the Legacy skins that were rewarded to players back in the early days when Dead by Daylight was first released.
The second thing you need to know is that to Prestige a character you'll need to upgrade them (via the Bloodweb) to Level 50. Once at Level 50, players will see that there is a Skull Gem right in the middle of the Bloodweb. Pressing on that will give players a warning that they're about to Prestige a character, meaning that they'll lose their Items, learned Perks, and Add-ons.
Dead By Daylight Prestige: Is It Worth It?
The question of whether the Prestige feature is worth it or not is entirely up to you and what you're looking for in playing the game. There's been some research/speculation that once you Prestige a character there's a higher chance that you'll get higher-tier rewards, but as of now there's been no real confirmation of that by Behavior Interactive. So take that with a grain of salt.
You do lose your Perks/Items/Add-Ons if you Prestige a character, but you get a Bloody Clothes cosmetic out of it AND you let other players know that you dedicated some serious hours to that character. If that sounds good to you, then we'd say that Prestige is absolutely worth it. If not, then don't bother and keep on continuing with your Bloodweb on other characters.
