Dead by Daylight loves events and that's proven with over 25 of them since 2016.
Unfortunately, last year players missed out on the Winter Solstice.
Winter Solstice is DBD's take on the Christmas holidays event.
Nothing has been confirmed yet but we think that players should be optimistic this time around!
We're going to take a look back at previous additions to the game during the seasonal event and make some predictions!

Dead By Daylight Winter Solstice 2020
Release Date
Right now there is no confirmed date for Winter Solstice.
When we get a solid release date we'll update you.
Below you is a list of previous dates for the event.
- December 14, 2017 - January 4, 2018
- December 17, 2018 - January 3, 2019
Unfortunately, there was no event last year but we expect one this time around.
It looks like the event tends to start in the third week of December and ends at the beginning of January.
Advent Calendar
This year we'll be getting some presents given to us by the devs through the new Advent Calendar feature!
Promo Codes will be the way to redeem them which you can find a regularly updated list of here.

Blood Hunt
In 2018 Winter Solstice was accompanied by a Blood Hunt.
We don't see any reason why this year would be any different.
Customisable Skins
Previous Winter Solstices brought new customisables to the killers in 2017 and as well as survivors in 2018.
Originally the Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Nurse, Hag, Doctor and Huntress received frosty eyes for the holiday.
Then in 2018 the Clown, Spirit and Legion received those same eyes.
We expect the killers since then, the Plague, Ghost Face, Demogorgon, Oni, Caleb Quinn, Executioner and Blight to also get this same customisation.
Although it may be hard to do with the Demogorgon and Executioner as they don't have eyes.
As well as the killers getting customisations in 2018, each of the survivors received a Christmas themed sweater/jumper.
Maybe this year will follow a similar theme to that previously?

Map/Prop Changes
All Hooks, Barrels and Lockers received a festive reskin in previous events.
Maps also get a revamp, with snow piles, snowmen, lanterns and blinking lights being added.
We expect something similar this year.
UI Changes
As in previous years, we believe the menu screen will get an update, as well as the music.
In 2018 the menu background had Christmas lights and snow falling, they also reused the Winter Solstice music from the last year.
