[Original Story] - Dead By Daylight is one of the most popular team horror games right now. Four players go head to head with a killer and they have to fix generators to escape the map before being killed. Sounds simple, but it's anything but.

The new Dead by Daylight 20.5 mid-chapter update is dropping today, July 27, along with Tome 8. Hopefully, we'll see some new promo codes, but don't worry if there's not, because we have the Blood Hunt starting this Friday!

Though it's not strictly a promo code, the developers have announced something rather exciting, and helpful for anyone eager to earn more bloodpoints.

Only July 29, Dead By Daylight will hold their next Blood Hunt event. What is a Blood Hunt Event? Basically, you can earn double Bloodpoints during the event, which typically runs for 4 days over the weekend.

However, if players unlock 10m crowns by the end of the event, the developers extend the Blood Hunt by an extra day.

On top of the normal promo codes available to players, there's also another reward on offer as we wait for the Dead By Daylight 20.5 mid-chapter update.

In a statement posted to Twitter, the devs told fans:

We have fixes coming for the most significant performance issues, slated for 7/27. We are working on further improvements for future updates. To thank you for your patience, log in anytime before the mid-chapter releases for 300K BP & 3K Shards.

For those looking further ahead, it also means we can expect to see Dead By Daylight Tome 8 coming to the game in the coming weeks.
