To purchase NFTs from popular NFT marketplaces such as OpenSea, a user must connect their MetaMask wallet to explore numerous Non-Fungible tokens and begin trading via OpenSea.

OpenSea is home to some extremely popular NFTs that can propel investors to earn additional revenue and passive income through their sale and trading. Let's take a look at how the MetaMask wallet can be connected to the OpenSea NFT marketplace.

How To Connect MetaMask Wallet To OpenSea.

Connecting MetaMask to OpenSea is pretty simple. Here's what to do:

  • Install the MetaMask browser extension
  • Click on "Get Started"
  • Select the "Create a wallet" option
  • Select whether you want to send the data to MetaMask wallet or not
  • Create a strong password and click on "confirm"
  • Confirm your seed phrase and store it in a safe place for future password recovery.
  • Go to OpenSea and click the wallet icon in the top-right corner.
  • Choose MetaMask and follow the steps from the pop-up window.

If this does not work, then according to one Reddit user, you can manually connect to OpenSea via the MetaMask extension. To do this, open the extension, press the three dots and go to Account. Then, choose the Connected Sites option, before pressing 'Manually Connect To Current Site'.

There might be times when random errors may prevent you from connecting your MetaMask wallet to OpenSea. In such situations a user must check whether;

  • His or her desktop/app cache is clear
  • Make sure your browser is updated, as well your MetaMask and Opensea apps are functioning on it's latest patch release.
  • Make sure that your wallet is on Ethereum mainnet. Check if there are any ad blockers running in the background.
