It has been widely reported that Season 3 of Warzone will mark a change for Verdansk despite several leaks and rumours pointing towards the release of a brand-new map set in the Ural Mountains.
Contrary to a completely new setting for the battle royale, it looks like players will be heading back in time to an iteration of Verdansk set in the 1980s.
With a jump back in time, plenty of changes to a number of points of interest (POI) are likely to take place alongside the addition of brand-new POIs set to inject the map with a new lease of life.
With that said, what are the new changes coming to the Warzone map in Season 3?
Warzone Season 3 Map Changes
After leaked footage of an upcoming Warzone commercial emerged, there were brief clips showing Verdansk moving back in time along with various POIs receiving a 1980s makeover.
The Stadium will transform into one that is under construction while Downtown will receive a new coat of paint reflecting the change in setting.
The TV Station, Airport, and the Dam will also undergo change.

It wasn't just existing POIs that will be changing in the battle royale. The commercial also showed glimpses of two brand-new areas arriving in Verdansk.
A mineshaft will be appearing in the battle royale alongside the Duga-2 Radar system that could be seen in the Ashes To Ashes campaign mission from Black Ops Cold War.
Warzone New Map Release Date
According to VGC, the revamped version of Verdansk will be launching on April 22nd through an in-game event.
It's believed that the event coincides with the current outbreak of Zombies that continues to visit several areas of the Warzone map.
