Following plenty of teasers, Season 3 of Warzone is now underway. As players drop onto Caldera and Rebirth Island, the community awaits the imminent arrival of Godzilla and Kong as part of Operation Monarch.
The Call of Duty franchise is no stranger to hidden Easter Eggs appearing all over the map. Season 2 saw the appearance of Golden Vaults on Rebirth Island and it appears more secrets are on the way.
As players wait for the two monsters to arrive on Caldera, Raven Software says Operation Monarch will contain several themed Easter Eggs relating to the monsters.
Warzone Operation Monarch Easter Eggs
In a recent interview with CharlieIntel, Raven Software senior creative director Ted Timmins reveals players can expect "a ton" of themed Easter Eggs that hark back to the movies.
Clues are likely to appear within the Dig Site point of interest, one of many map changes made to Caldera in Season 3. Timmins also mentions a "massive glowing axe" that's currently visible next to the main Resort building.
In addition, Timmins reveals "really cool" Easter Eggs are in the works for Season 4 of Warzone which is very exciting as the reveal for Modern Warfare 2 nears. Is Task Force 141 on its way to Caldera?
When Does Operation Monarch Start?
The Operation Monarch event begins on May 11, a few weeks into Season 3. Early details reveal players can take control of either Godzilla or King Kong by finding an item within the limited-time mode. This combined with plenty of secrets to discover, Operation Monarch is going to be an incredible spectacle packed with plenty of action.
