Reddit user 'Kaaaaos' published a post claiming that Warzone had reached its peak in October 2020 during The Haunting of Verdansk event which contained zombies, nighttime modes, and jumpscares for those willing to open a supply crate. "Warzone peaked at last Halloween, bring Verdansk at night back," the user requested.

Many seemed to agree with the statement, with other users suggesting new ways to improve nighttime Warzone and some ways of making the Halloween event even scarier than last year's haunting. "Would be cool if they made it really dark like the dark maps in MW (Modern Warfare)," one suggested.

When Will Nighttime Warzone Return?

Considering how popular the dark iterations of Verdansk were when they were available to play, it's highly likely that they will be making a return as part of the Halloween action. Until then, the darkest Warzone map available is Rebirth Island, a compact map perfect for high-octane gameplay.
