When it comes to building the ultimate Warzone loadout, the QBZ-83 assault rifle is often overlooked despite possessing a number of features that have a huge impact on the streets of Verdansk and Rebirth Island. This mobile assault rifle is a solid option for those that want to mix it up and use something that isn't necessarily dominating the metagame.
It also has a quick time-to-kill that can surprise an enemy if not respected, and with Season 4 Reloaded in full swing and with players getting to grips with Raven Software's latest dose of weapon balancing, the QBZ-83 could become one of the best ARs to use.
Here's the best loadout for the QBZ-83 in Warzone.
Best QBZ-83 Warzone Class
It’s no secret that the QBZ-83 isn’t the most popular assault rifle to use on Black Ops Cold War. Despite looking a lot like the powerful Type 25 from Black Ops 2, it doesn't live up to the legend.
When it comes to Warzone however, it certainly has its uses. Armed with one of the fastest rates of fire in the entire category, the QBZ is deadly in close-quarters situations but thanks to its erratic initial recoil, the weapon becomes tricky to use in any medium to long-distance engagements.
QBZ-83 Warzone Best Attachments
The lack of range and poor recoil can be improved by selecting the right attachments. But, with so many on offer in the Gunsmith, what exactly are the best attachments to equip?
- Muzzle: Muzzle Brake 5.56
- Barrel: 15.5” Takedown
- Optic: Diamondback Reflex
- Stock: Marathon Stock
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
This set of attachments improves the performance of the QBZ in every category apart from its fire rate. The combination of muzzle brake and foregrip makes the weapon much easier to control thanks to the reductions in horizontal and vertical recoil while the diamondback reflex sight is the ideal optic to use when in a mid-range skirmish with another player.
For some additional mobility, we selected the marathon stock to improve the sprint to fire time, enabling you to react much quicker to an oncoming opponent.
How to Unlock the QBZ in Warzone
Unlocking the QBZ is actually a very simple matter. You just need to reach level 31, which is very attainable especially if you're using double XP tokens and taking advantage of double XP weekends.
QBZ-83 Secondary Weapons and Perks
Given the QBZ struggles at long-range it is worth considering a sniper rifle as a secondary. We've picked the HDR with the attachments below.
- Muzzle: Muzzle Brake
- Barrel: 26.9” HDR Pro
- Stock: FTAC Champion
- Perk: Sleight of Hand
- Laser: Tac Laser
With the QBZ lacking at extremely long distances, the HDR is the perfect weapon to use as a secondary weapon. If you spot a target from afar with the QBZ, quickly swap to the HDR to take them out with ease.
- Proximity Mine (Lethal)
- Decoy Grenade (Tactical)
Proximity mines in Warzone are heavily underrated. Place one near a Buy Station to catch any players loaded with cash off guard.
The decoy grenade is also underutilised. If you think a player is couped up inside a building, throw a decoy outside of the building to draw them out of the building then pick them off before they even have a chance to fight back.
- EOD (Perk 1)
- Overkill (Perk 2)
- Tracker (Perk 3)
EOD is essential when playing aggressively during a Warzone match. The increased explosive resistance can often be the difference between surviving a perfectly cooked grenade or an early trip to the Gulag. Tracker will enable you to see any enemy footsteps in the nearby area. Follow them for long enough and it could lead you to a straightforward elimination.
