Warzone often introduces brand-new game modes in a bid to maintain a wide variety for players that are after an alternative to the usual doses of battle royale action. To satisfy player demand, Raven Software has unveiled a brand-new game mode known as Caldera Clash.

The game mode will arrive as part of the Season 2 update in addition to the Whitley LMG, armoured trucks, and redeploy ballons. Caldera Clash is a huge contrast compared to modes where being the last player standing is the primary objective.

Rather than Raven Software developing this particular mode, Beenox and High Moon Studios have taken the lead to create a mode that heavily resembles a staple from Call of Duty multiplayer. With that said, find everything there is to know about the Warzone Caldera Clash mode in this guide!

What Is Warzone Caldera Clash?

Described as an "evolution of Clash" that first appeared in Verdansk '84, Caldera Clash heavily resembles the Team Deathmatch multiplayer mode. Two teams of players will drop into Caldera with the goal of reaching a specific number of points. The first team to do so is the winner.

Unlike Team Deathmatch, there is a range of game-changing power-ups that are available to reduce any leads and to earn some additional points for your team.

Warzone Caldera Clash Rules

The rules for Caldera Clash are incredibly straightforward. Two teams of 48 players will drop into Caldera with the goal of scoring kills. Whichever team manages to reach the target first, is the winner.

Rather than disappearing from the action and into the Gulag, a respawn system is in place, allowing you to redeploy as fast as possible.

In addition to the Team Deathmatch elements, players can earn additional XP from capturing Domination flags and Power Zones where players earn three Power Ups giving them game-changing abilities.

Power Zones

These events can take place rather than the C Domination Flag. All kills scored inside the zone are worth double their original score in addition to a 100% Power Up drop rate.

Point Crates

Over the course of a Caldera Clash match, six Point Crates will drop. Players that capture the crate earn ten points alongside a variety of valuable loot including Nebula V ammunition, stacks of Cash, and power weapons.

Warzone Caldera Clash Release Date

Caldera Clash made its Warzone debut as part of the Season 2 update on February 14. Fans were quick to share their thoughts on the fast-paced mode, with many enjoying the change of pace from the usual battle royale modes. With lots of positivity flying around, the mode could stay around as part of Warzone's weekly playlist updates.
