Season 6 of Black Ops Cold War is in full swing and as players continue to master the Grav and .410 Ironhide, Activision has revealed a wealth of spooky content arriving in multiplayer and Zombies as part of The Haunting Halloween event.
The Haunting will feature a total of three limited-time modes that will be available to play during spooky season. Some feature a twist on some Call of Duty staples while other modes will be extremely familiar to fans of more casual party modes. Black Ops Cold War Halloween Game Modes
In a blog post published on October 18th, Activision unveiled further details on each of the three modes. Here's a complete list of modes:
- Infected
- Scream Deathmatch
- Prop Hunt Halloween
Infected
Infected will be familiar to many Call of Duty players. 18 players start the match with a Zombie team attempting to transform the living into the undead. The longer players survive, they will earn bonuses such as an increase to reload speed, movement speed, and sliding speed. If a survivor can survive until the clock runs out, they win the round.
Scream Deathmatch
This particular mode was leaked a few weeks prior to its official reveal. As the name suggests, Scream Deathmatch is a twist on Infected and will see two players spawn into the game as Ghostface. The opposition will be unarmed, meaning they will have to hide in order to survive. Piercing screams will ring out across the map as the Ghostfaces close in on a location. If the Ghostfaces kill everyone, they win!
Prop Hunt Halloween
The third and final game mode adds a dose of seasonal magic onto the hugely popular Prop Hunt mode. Players will attempt to evade capture by hiding as pumpkins, skeletons, and black cats on the Halloween iteration of Nuketown '84.
Black Ops Cold War Zombies Halloween Modes
It's not just multiplayer that's getting a Halloween makeover. Hallows' Eve Outbreak will be making their way to Zombies, with the undead opposition featuring a unique look in keeping with spooky season.
When Do The Modes Launch?
All three modes will be added to multiplayer on October 19th when The Haunting event goes live across Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. It's likely that they will be available to play until the start of Season 6 Reloaded which is rumoured to begin on November 4th.
