The submachine guns in Black Ops Cold War are some of the strongest weapons in the entire game thanks to their incredible close-quarters performance and rapid rate of fire.
With Season 2 in full swing, there are plenty of attachment combinations to extract the most potential from both of these weapons.
But which of the two is best? The MAC-10 or the Milano?
Cold War Milano 821
Armed with one of the lowest rates of fire out of all the SMGs in Black Ops Cold War, the Milano 821 still packs a punch on the battlefield thanks to improved mid-range accuracy, consistent output of damage and incredible accuracy when firing from the hip.
The supreme mid-range performance alongside deadly hip-fire accuracy makes the Milano one of the most versatile SMGs in the game.
Cold War MAC-10
Since its addition at the beginning of Season 1, the MAC-10 shook up the SMG metagame thanks to its unmatched fire rate, making it arguably the strongest weapon in close-quarters gunfights.
While it does excel at close-range, its fire rate makes recoil levels difficult to control when attempting to eliminate a target from a distance.

Which Is Better?
After several matches using both SMGs, both showcased their respective strengths and weaknesses in a variety of situations.
The MAC-10 is by far the better weapon to use when getting up close and personal with the opposition, but when attempting to use it at distance, it falls short where the Milano 821 excels.
Overall, the Milano 821 is the more versatile of the two, which is why I would choose it over the MAC-10 despite the MAC’s deadly rate of fire.
