Bayonetta hasn't been seen since 2014 (outside of re-releases and her appearances in Smash Bros), but the third game has already been announced.
Originally unveiled back in 2017 at The Game Awards, it's a shame we've not heard more but the rumblings of forthcoming news have begun.
Here's everything we know so far about Bayonetta 3.
Nintendo Direct – 16 February
A new Nintendo Direct is coming tomorrow – find out more here.
Platinum Explains Relative Silence – February 9
While discussing new title Project G.G with VGC, Platinum Games' Hideki Kamiya noted that they've been quiet on Bayonetta 3 as the game is not being published by the team themselves.
"We don’t have that much say over projects that we’re not publishing. And we understand different titles require different approaches, so we respect the publisher’s decisions," Kamiya explained.
"So if there is a difference between what we want to do with Project G.G. versus what we normally do with our other titles, it’s not really a criticism for those publishers: we respect their approaches. But for this title especially, our approach as a company is that we’re hoping to be more open."

The last we heard about the game was in a Nintendo Direct back in February 2019.
There we learned that the game is still in development, but the team were not ready to show anything yet. Could we get a short window between re-reveal and release?
The game will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive, which makes sense since Nintendo is publishing it.
