Bayonetta 3: Release Date, Leaks, Platforms, Trailer, and More
July 29, 2022: No new information has come in since the release date announcement

With two adventures under her corset already, Bayonetta is back to cap off a potential trilogy. The Bayonetta 3 release date was something that took years and years to surface following the game's announcement not long after the Nintendo Switch launched.

If you've been holding out for the game all these years: your time has arrived. Though things were touch and go for a bit (just like Metroid Prime 4) Bayonetta 3 hasn't been cancelled, and it's coming before the end of the year.

If you're looking for more information on Platinum Games, here's confirmation that Babylon's Fall still has a future. That's a recent Square Enix service game that our own former social media staffer got a lot of press for being the game's sole PC player.

While discussing new title Project G.G with VGC, Platinum Games' Hideki Kamiya noted that they've been quiet on Bayonetta 3 as the game is not being published by the team themselves. He explained:

"We don’t have that much say over projects that we’re not publishing. And we understand different titles require different approaches, so we respect the publisher’s decisions. So if there is a difference between what we want to do with Project G.G. versus what we normally do with our other titles, it’s not really a criticism for those publishers: we respect their approaches. But for this title especially, our approach as a company is that we’re hoping to be more open.
