The Pokemon Company COO Personally Emailed Leaker to Remove Major Roadmap & Gen 10 Plans

Pokemon COO

One of this year’s biggest Pokemon leaks has reached the Chief Operating Officer of The Pokemon Company himself. Mr. Takato Utsunomiya personally sent an email to Centro LEAKS to take down the leaked data regarding Pokemon’s roadmap for the next 5 years.

This bold gambit was an unexpected surprise, as it has only proven that the leaks were in fact credible. The COO himself and by extension, the company, took the bait and Centro LEAKS was even proud of this achievement.

Centro LEAKS Tweet.

Earlier this week, a major Pokemon leak led by Centro LEAKS unveiled new information about Pokemon’s future, including Gen 10. We’ve already discussed at length how Pokemon Wind and Wave might be a bold new step for the franchise due to its procedural generation and a much requested Southeast Asian setting.

The leaks also included an ambitious multi-region MMO project for the Nintendo Switch 2. It will put together all the Japanese regions from previous entries of the series including the Kanto, Sinnoh and Jonoh regions into one massive online space.

Centro LEAKS Response for the DMCA takedowns.

As of writing, Centro LEAKS has deleted most of the leaked images from its official X/Twitter account. Leaving only a few images including detailed information about Wind and Wave’s gameplay as well as how its procedural generation systems work.

The Centro LEAKS X/Twitter page is still standing, at least. They even pinned a counter claim against the DMCA takedowns, saying the leaked images “do not infringe on Pokemon's copyright in any way.”

It seems like the so-called “Nintendo ninjas’ aren’t coming after them for now. However, with a leak as massive as this one, there might be some major consequences to the sole progenitor of this data breach, but time can only tell.
