The Silent Hill f craze knows no bounds as more cast members join in on the streaming hype after Konatsu Kato’s recent success a few months ago. Now, Hinako’s parents are also playing the game!
The face model behind Hinako’s dad, Masago Go, started streaming Silent Hill f on December 28, amassing 31,000 views. Despite his character’s abusive nature in the game, he is far from that in person, consistently engaging with his fans.
His first stream focused entirely on learning how the game works and reacting to jump scares. Masago’s situation is much the same as Kato’s, even added that it has been decades since he last played a video game.
It wasn’t until the second stream that Masago Go decided to surprise fans by inviting Hinako’s mother. Face modeled by Hiraoka Tamami, she plays Hinako’s burdened mother, Fukimizu Kimie, in the game, stuck between a rock and a hard place due to her abusive husband’s personality. She’s a complex character who adds depth to Hinako’s character in Silent Hill f. She’s a necessary character that furthers the protagonist’s madness in the game.
Hiraoka Tamami, who has never played on a PlayStation 5 console before, struggled with the game’s controls. Masago sat beside her, aiding as both Hinako’s parental figures took control of their in-game daughter, lost in the fog.
The stream saw a massive spike in viewership. Compared to Masago’s first stream, the second stream with Tamami gained 70,000 views, making some of Silent Hill’s Japanese fanbase perplexed and amazed that its older cast is also joining in on the fun.
No one knows how this happened, but it seems like a growing trend among Silent Hill f’s cast. Weeks prior, Yuuka Iijima, who was the face model behind Hinako’s best friend, Rinko, also started streaming. She gained a considerably larger audience compared to Masago and Tamami, with an average of 150,000 viewers per stream. As of writing, she just finished the game a few hours ago, thanking her followers and fans for her newfound streaming hobby.
Fans are now calling for Hinako’s other friend, Shu Iwai’s face model, Natsuki Osaki, to also join the streaming craze. Beyond that, there’s also a growing interest in bringing the Fox Mask, Kotoyuki, into the streaming limelight.
It seems Silent Hill f has really captured the attention of its cast, which is a good sign, as the franchise has been renewed in all its glory. They didn’t even need to bring the story back to its traditional setting.
