Silent Hill f continues to break new ground after more cast members try streaming and content creation.
In her recently uploaded YouTube Short, Rinko’s actress, Yuuka Iijima, will start playing Silent Hill f this Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 9pm Japan Standard Time. She will be streaming on her YouTube channel.
This is the second case of a Silent Hill f actor experimenting with video game streaming to connect with the fans. Konatsu Kato, Hinako's actress, has also been streaming her journey with Silent Hill f for weeks.
Konatsu Kato’s streams were so successful that they immediately boosted her YouTube channel, SILENT HILL f を本人がやります, to over 350,000 subscribers, even earning her the iconic YouTube Silver Play Button. Her first Silent Hill f stream garnered over 1.4 million views, and it’s now sitting at 4.6 million after players discovered her quirky personality from various news outlets and social media posts.
Konatsu Kato’s succeeding streams brought a fresh boost in Silent Hill f’s popularity. Her fans clip some of her interactions in the game, particularly one reaction clip with her in-game nemesis, Rinko. She might even be responsible for the game’s extra sales months after its release.
Silent Hill f’s Konatsu Kato is currently nominated for this year’s The Game Awards. She’s competing against Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s Ben Starr (Verso) and Jennifer English (Maelle) in the category of Best Performance.
With all these events, it’s no surprise that Kato’s other co-actress in the game, Yuuka Iijima, will take advantage of this massive hype. We won’t find out about the numbers by the time she actually starts streaming, but her Japanese audience is already giddy with anticipation, as is evident in her X comments.
Silent Hill f has been considered as one of the best in the modern franchise. It earned an 8 out of 10 score in our review, calling it a “true successor to the franchise without relying on its iconic Maine town.”
Despite its success, it also drew in a major rift among Silent Hill fans, partly due to the lack of connection to the mainline series from Team Silent’s games. There are no mentions of characters from the previous entries, as well as the Silent Hill area. Silent Hill f takes place entirely in the fictional town of Ebisugaoka in Showa-era Japan.
Yuuka Iijima’s stream will likely attract new followers to the Silent Hill f fandom the same way Konatsu Kato had with her streams, and it will likely push more actors to join in on the fun. Maybe Sakuko Igarashi’s actress, Eri Goda, will also take on streaming pursuits.
