  • Quick Answer: A false match-fixing scandal targeting content creator Amour at Evo 2026 was orchestrated by an impersonator on Discord.

A bizarre situation went down at Evo 2026, with content creator and artist Amour revealing that anonymous users via Discord were spreading false accusations of bracket fixing, stating that she was giving sexual favors in exchange for her opponents “throwing” the matches.

While Amour, who has a strong online presence and streams constantly on Twitch, isn’t a professional Street Fighter player, she did pretty well in the bracket, placing 385th out of 2,400 players. That said, some were quick to dismiss her achievement.

Amour first shared a screenshot of a Discord user by the name of KingBundy, who wrote that she had offered sexual favors to him with the condition that he throw the match in a convincing fashion so she could get to day 2 of pools.

Understandably livid, she rallied the community behind baseless accusations, criticizing KingBundy, who was indeed one of the opponents Amour defeated at Evo. A few tournament organizers took the time to acknowledge the situation and ban KingBundy from entering their tournaments.

That’s when things took a bit of a turn. As it turns out, the Discord account was impersonating KingBundy. Not only did whoever created that account send messages with fake match-fixing accusations against Amour, but they were also actively slandering another, completely innocent, member of the fighting game community.

After sharing the initial screenshot in a now-deleted post on social media, Amour confirmed she had reached out to the real KingBundy to clear any grievances: “Bundy & I have alrdy talked and got matters resolved. But now I'm out for blood and looking for any help to find out who FakeBundy is,” she wrote.

Content creator and Street Fighter player FemShep was luckily the one who dug a little deeper, as she is an acquaintance of the real KingBundy, helping him clear his name in the process. At the time of writing, the real identity of the person who was sending false information about Amour using someone else’s username is still unknown.

Not every bit of news to come out of Evo 2026 was just as bizarre: Nintendo Switch 2 fans will get to enjoy Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising this September, and for Marvel Tokon fans, the final team was revealed and it's perhaps the best in the entire game.
