Apex Legends Monsters Within Event: Start Time Countdown, New Skins, Rewards, and More

UPDATE: The Monsters Within event is now live on all platforms.

[Original Story] - As Apex Legends Season 10 trundles along its steady course, we're getting more content for the battle royale. There's plenty in store before Season 11 kicks off, whether it's new additions to ranked Arenas, teasers hitting Olympus, or a whole new event.

Obviously the Apex Legends Monsters Within event is what we're here to talk about today. While there has been no official communication on the event yet, dataminers have been busy hunting through the game files to find out everything they can about the event's start date, skins, cosmetics, rewards, and challenges.

This is not the full Apex Legends Halloween event, however, as it appears that Shadow Royale is back over the spooky period, too. Monsters Within is just a bonus creepy event for October - what's not to love?

Apex Legends has announced its Halloween Event plans this year and it's slightly different.

Here's the full run-down of what new content is coming, courtesy of Respawn, as well as the official trailer:

It’s everyone’s favorite time of year: nights grow long and dark with shadows, and the Legends dress up for the occasion...and reveal the Monsters Within. Fight to conquer the new Encore Arenas map, while special event-limited cosmetic sets highlight the scary side of some of our most fearsome Legends like Revenant, Bloodhound, Caustic and Seer. On October 26, rediscover Shadow Royale, a different kind of Battle Royale where slain Legends respawn in a Shadow-Form to exact revenge and help living squadmates. Shadow lives are infinite, and your squad’s not eliminated until the last living Legend falls.

When Is the Apex Legends Monsters Within Start Date?

The Apex Legends Monsters Within event start date is October 12 and will last for three weeks, until November 2.

This leads right up until the Season 11 release date, but gives you plenty of time to unlock all the skins and complete the three weekly challenges.

What Are the Apex Legends Monsters Within Skins and Cosmetics?

According to dataminer Shrugtal, there will be no fewer than 40 cosmetic items available over the three-week event. Some will be available in packs or craftable, and others may be rewards from the three prize trackers. Here's a sneak peak at some of the Banner Poses and Legendary Skins:

Hammer Horror-era (or should that be Hammond Horror?) Banner Frames will also be a part of the event. Image also courtesy of Shrugtal.

KralRindo, another dataminer, also gives us a look at some of the Legendary Weapon Skins that will be available during the event:

What Are the Apex Legends Monsters Within Badges and Challenges?

There will be three weeks of events in Monsters Within, as KralRindo also found the prize trackers:

The Loba skin and Holosprays will likely be the most popular free cosmetics for completing the rewards tracks, with the latter matching the Legendary skins for those Legends. As usual, there will also be badges on offer if you complete the event's challenges.

Some players may be dismayed to see two weeks of Arenas challenges, but with the new map coming to the mode it's clear that Respawn will be pushing the content. If the new map is a teaser for the Season 11 battle royale map, however, then we may feel a bit more lenient.

That's everything we know about the Apex Legends Monsters Within event so far, but we'll keep this guide up to date as more leaks appear and any official announcements are made.
