Apex Legends 'Anniversary' Collection Event LEAKS: Release Date, Trailer, Skins, Rewards, Challenges, Locked And Loaded LTM And Everything We Know So Far

With Season 8 of Apex Legends now underway, we can turn our attention to the first event in the season.

Apex Legends' next Collection Event kicked off today, February 9!

If you weren't aware, the popular Battle Royale game turned 2 years old on the 4th of February 2021.

With a new update and the previous Fight Night update, we've been given plenty of hints as to what is coming thanks to dataminers.

New colour variations inbound? - February 10

Shrugtal, one of the Apex community's most reliable dataminers, has found hints at recolours coming in the next patch from the Iron Crown event.

What Is The Anniversary Collection Event?

Just like previous events, this is a special in-game event for players to celebrate their favourite battle royale game.

This one also has the privilege of celebrating the game's creation.

Special edition skins, items and collectables will be available for players to grab as well as LTMs.

The event starts at 3PM today.

Rewards

The reward for completing the collection not be a new Heirloom, rather you will receive 150 Heirloom Shards to purchase an existing one of your choosing.

The collection itself is rammed full of fan-favourite items, 24 in total, all of which have red and gold touches.

Players will be able to get 22 earnable items, including two Event Packs and ten Apex Packs.

Challenges

• “Daily Discovery” earn the Nessie Badge by completing 75 Daily Challenges
• “Respect your elders” earn the Mozambique Badge by dealing 102,816 Damage
• “Time to Win and Stay Alive” using 8 different Legends to get the Smolfinder Badge
• “Mozambique Here” Weapon Charm - deal 3,333 Damage with the Mozambique.

Locked And Loaded

The event will add the Locked and Loaded LTM as a takeover mode.

The LTM is actually set to go live a little later than the collection event at 6 PM GMT!

In this mode, you'll hit the ground with a full loadout of level 1 gear.

You’ll start with a Mozambique, White Shotgun Bolt, HCOG Classic Scope, White Evo Shield, White Helmet, White Backpack, White Incap Shield, two Syringes, two Shield Cells, and one stack of shotgun ammo.

All Common/White level attachments and equipment will also be removed from the loot pool (outside of Common scopes) during the takeover.

We'll also get recolors for:

All the Iron Crown legendaries, apart from Wattson, will get recolors in the first Season 8 event.

According to @Shrugtal, the codename for these is "Eoswar". Suggesting, there is some war theme going on.

Wattson appears to be getting some form of recolor.

It looks like some weapons will also get a recolor...

Bundles

The bundles and skins for this event include recolor skins, Apex Packs and the returning Paradigm Shifter R-99 skin will be in the store.
