While Microsoft is already holding its developer and tech-focused Game Stack event this month, the event is expected to focus on the platform as opposed to any big new game announcements, but we'll update this page as we hear more.
'What's Next For Gaming' - What We Know
When Is It?
All we know so far is that the event is slated for April, but this could shift in these COVID-affected times.
Still, as soon as we get any news, we'll let you know.
What To Expect
Microsoft's platforms have received plenty of love in recent weeks. Following FPS boost on console and Auto HDR on PC, Microsoft announced that original Xbox and Xbox 360 backward compatible titles would be coming to the cloud.
Back in February, Jason Ronald, Microsoft's Director of Program Management, confirmed exciting new features would be arriving – could this next event be even more platform-level additions?
"We’ve got a lot of really exciting things that are coming down the pipeline over the coming months and over the coming years,” Ronald previously explained.
There's also the possibility that Microsoft will discuss the rumours of its acquisition of Discord.
That said, there's always the chance we do get a little peek at some first-party games. While we don't know anything for sure, it would be a great time to share details on Halo Infinite which is still slated for this year.
