Xbox Announces Backwards Compatibility For Cloud Gaming


Microsoft has announced that a series of backward compatible titles will now be playable via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

In a new blog post, Microsoft confirmed that 16 original Xbox and Xbox 360 titles are coming to Android phones and tablets today, with more games coming soon.

Xbox Announces Backwards Compatibility For Cloud Gaming

While the games are likely to be best with a Bluetooth controller, the team at Xbox has also added touch controls to Jetpac Refuelled, Viva Pinata, and Viva Pinata Trouble In Paradise.

The games will also support cloud-save sync via Xbox Live, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Members can jump in right now.

  • Double Dragon Neon
  • Fable II
  • Fallout: New Vegas
  • Gears of War 2
  • Gears of War 3
  • Gears of War: Judgment
  • Jetpac Refuelled (touch controls enabled)
  • Kameo
  • Perfect Dark
  • Perfect Dark Zero
  • The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  • Viva Piñata (touch controls enabled)
  • Viva Piñata: TIP (touch controls enabled)

Honestly, if you'd told me back in 2006 that one day I'd be able to play Oblivion a phone, I would have said you were mad, but here we are.
