Torghast Set To Receive Big Updates In Eternity's End Including A New Challenge Mode

The Shadowlands patch 9.2 Eternity's End PTR is ready to go live, and Blizzard has released the first set of patch notes detailing all the new content coming in the first build.

In those patch notes Blizzard released the first look at changes to Torghast which include four new challenging layers from 13-16, including new Torments and buffs to the old ones.

1 Empowered Torment will be active in layers 13-14 and 2 Empowered Torments will be active on layers 15-16.

There is also a new game mode called "The Jailer's Gauntlet" which will feature increasingly challenging boss battles one after another across 8 floors per layer with a total of 8 layers.

Torghast Set To Receive Big Updates In Eternity's End Including A New Challenge Mode

Rewards for this boss rush mode will be new unique cosmetics and will likely take after the Twisting Corridor which is currently in the game.

Torghast loses part of its draw with the new legendary upgrades requiring materials from Zereth Mortis, so introducing a new game mode inside with all new unique rewards gives players a new exciting and challenging reason to return to the tower.

Expect to find more information about the game mode in the coming weeks, as players explore how powers work inside and the differences between a normal clear and a complete boss rush mode.

Eternity's End PTR is live on the 2nd of December and will be expected to run for 6-8 weeks before it is ready to go live on Shadowlands servers.
