Bethesda Discuss Wolfenstein 3 And Indiana Jones In New Interview

E3 2021 is over and while the Xbox/Bethesda showcase revealed some interesting new games, we didn't hear anything about a new Wolfenstein or Indiana Jones. Both developed by MachineGames, we've not seen Wolfenstein since 2019's spin-off entries Youngblood and Cyberpilot, leaving fans to wonder what's happening.

Thankfully, Pete Hines, Bethesda's Senior Vice President Of Global Marketing & Communications, has weighed in. Alongside apologising to PlayStation 5 owners for Starfield being an Xbox Series X|S console exclusive, he also weighed in on these two series during an interview with GameSpot's Tamoor Hussain.

Bethesda Discuss Wolfenstein 3 And Indiana Jones In New Interview

For Indiana Jones, he revealed the game's development has only just begun, hence why there wasn't an announcement at E3. As for when there'd be a new Wolfenstein, he confirmed:

Where we are for Wolfenstein, or quite honestly any other franchise that we don’t have announced plans on? We’ll have to wait till we get to the point of wanting to talk about it. But you can put me at the head of the list of people who want to see another Wolfenstein game, so no worries there.

It's unclear whether MachineGames has the capacity to work on two major projects at once, so when we'll see either game remains a mystery. However, it certainly sounds positive that in Wolfenstein's case, we'll eventually see a third main entry emerge.
