Netflix has been looking to expand into video games. After releasing Black Mirror: Bandersnatch in 2018, we've recently seen them trialling the addition of mobile games, letting Polish users access Stranger Things: 1984 and Stranger Things 3. Now, they've quietly released a VR game on Oculus Quest.

Calling this Eden Unearthed, it comes as a free release through App Lab, an alternate distribution method used to install Quest content which hasn't been made available yet on Oculus' official store. As they've not gone through full review, App Lab games do warn players that they may include "unknown issues relating to comfort, performance or other factors."

There's not much to go off from the official description, which only says "Discover the world of Eden in this VR experience." However, this appears to tie-in with Eden, an animated series set in the far future, in a world occupied by robots. Within Eden Unearthed, you'll control a motorbike and drive across a varied landscape.

Previously, we'd seen Netflix develop adaptations of existing games - The Witcher, Castlevania, Resident Evil and upcoming ones like Assassin's Creed, Sonic The Hedgehog or Cuphead - but the publisher and developer for Eden Unearthed, this is certainly a first. Should Netflix continue expanding into games, we'll keep you informed.
