Having the right Field of View (FOV) settings can really bring out the best gaming experience in FPS games. And in Valorant, it will not just allow you to be more engaged while in a match but may also lead you to the path of victory.
Riot Games’ 2020 breakout shooter took the gaming industry by storm last year when it became available for players worldwide. Today, it remains one of the most popular games on a global scale, and for sure players already grasped what could be the best FOV setting you can use in the game.
But the thing is, the game may not be able to provide direct FOV settings.
Still, we got you covered. Here’s everything you need to know about the best FOV settings in Valorant, and how to change them.
Valorant Best FOV Settings
Even if Valorant does not have a FOV slider so far, it was revealed by a game developer named Classick from Riot Games that the game uses a 103 FOV.
Classick also mentioned that it is not recommended to play the game in a ratio of 4:3 because it will make Valorant’s FOV to 71. So, it is best to stick with the default 16:9 optimized version of the game to have the best gaming experience in Riot’s FPS title.
How to Change the FOV Settings in Valorant
With Valorant limiting its players to change the FOV settings inside the game itself, there is still another option to customize your game’s FOV settings. But this is only possible if you use an NVIDIA graphics card.
For you to do so, click Start and select Run. Type “dxdiag” on the Open box and click Ok afterwards. It will open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. Choose the Display tab and all the details of your graphics card will pop up immediately.
Now to set up the best FOV settings for Valorant, right-click on your desktop and choose the NVIDIA control panel. Go to Display Section and select “Adjust Desktop Size and Position.”
Choose Aspect Ratio and set it to 4:3. But if you want to play with a stretched resolution, choose Scaling Option instead.
