Is The Ascent Split-Screen?

The Ascent continues to rise as one of the more promising-looking Xbox exclusives coming out soon, with the Cyberpunk 2077-like setting and Diablo-esque combat winning fans over more as the days go by.

It’s easy to see why fans are anticipating the July 29 release date of The Ascent, as the action RPG promises exciting 4-player co-op and a solid single-player campaign, which is all you can ask for in an isometric game like this.

Is The Ascent Split-Screen?

However, a number of multiplayer-savvy fans are wondering if The Ascent will have split-screen co-op since that usually makes things more tolerable in certain multiplayer games.

Sadly, it seems like The Ascent’s four-player multiplayer shares one camera like the Diablo and Marvel Ultimate Alliance games, which isn’t the worst thing ever.

While a number of multiplayer fans were hoping that The Ascent would have some kind of split-screen co-op so that things would be easier to keep track of, action RPGs like these are usually fine with one type of camera.

We’re fairly excited to see just how The Ascent’s multiplayer impacts Xbox fans, especially since it’s dynamic is expected to be harder than the single-player due to how the game adjusts to the number of players.

Trailers have suggested that we won’t have any form of split-screen multiplayer in The Ascent, there’s always a chance the feature could be added as some form of DLC, though that’s just speculation on our point, if we’re being honest.

Fans will be able to get The Ascent on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
