The Steam PC store normally holds sales throughout the year, but there are also several big tentpole events where the best sales and discounts are made available to users.
The next big one for fans to be aware of is the 2020 Halloween Steam sale.
We'll likely see some big deals on horror and horror-adjacent games as we have in past years, but there's likely to be a few other discounts worth capitalising on.

When is the Steal Halloween Sale in 2020?
The unofficial countdown website, Whenisthenextsteamsale.com, has a timer counting down to the next big sale for the platform.
When it comes to Halloween sale, it appears as though we have to wait a good few weeks to go, with the event set to begin on October 29, 2020.
In fact, at the time of writing, the sale is apparently kicking off in less than eight hours!

Although this is not yet confirmed, the website does provide decent insight into when the annual Holiday Sale, Summer Sale, Halloween Sale and the Autumn Sale begins.
“Valve never announces Steam sale dates upfront, but Steam sales return every year in a relatively stable frequency." the site explains.
“Based on data from the last few years, the upcoming sale dates are predicted.
“These predictions are a combination of the following factors: dates and months in which a sales started, which day of the week a sale usually starts.
“How long a sale usually lasts, what dates/events a sale generally hits, times are based on the East Pacific time zone.
“Furthermore the dates are updated every now and then when there is more information in recent news.
“As you can see there are multiple sources to find out when a sale will most likely start.”
