Resident Evil Village: Release Date, Trailer, Multiplayer, Showcase, Characters, Pre-Order, Demo And Everything You Need To Know

Resident Evil 8 Village will be the next instalment in the historic franchise, and it's planning to take some big creative risks.

Demo Details and Mercenaries Mode – April 15

Good news, horror fans – you can play a slice of Resident Evil: Village starting this weekend, although there are some caveats.

Capcom also shared a look at the revamped Mercenaries mode.

What Is It?

Resident Evil has primarily been about zombies and the shadowy Umbrella Corporation, but Resident Evil 7 sidestepped that narrative for the most part – and Resident Evil: Village will do the same.

Looking to return to the first-person view, it'll feature werewolves and all sorts of other ghouls - a big departure.

Still, it will take plenty of cues from Resident Evil 4 – notably the village setting, but perhaps even more.

“You’ll notice we took a lot of inspiration from Resident Evil 4. The team has put a ton of effort into creating a truly authentic feel,” Peter Fabiano, the game's producer said to Official PlayStation Magazine.

“There are plenty of surprises to keep you on your toes; players will find a balance of combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving.”

Release Date

Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil Village is going to release on May 7th, 2021!
