While there's a lot to be excited about in the Rainbow Six Siege ecosystem, including cheaters being rightfully dealt with, the Six Invitational is not one of them - at least right now.
The prestigious event has unfortunately been delayed due to the global pandemic.
This is usually where we get our first glimpse at the new year ahead - this being Y6S1.
Ubisoft's premier tournament will have to wait another day to take place.
But when can we expect it?
Here's what we know about the Six Invitational.
What Is The Six Invitational
The Six Invitational is an annual professional Rainbow Six Siege tournament hosted by Ubisoft.
Located in Montreal, home of the Ubisoft studio working on the game, the tournament gathers the best teams from all around the world.
The event marks the end of the previous year and acts as a World Cup for the intense Esport.
Unfortunately, there is no date as Ubisoft has chosen to delay the event.
Originally meant to take place from the 9th-21st February, the event will now take place at a later date.
This is due to the fact that the French Prime Minister has announced that the French borders will be closed to all non-EU travellers.
The initial prize pool of the tournament is $500,000 USD.
There's also an additional 30% of all Road to S.I. 2021 Battle Pass sales that are added to the total prize pool up to a maximum of $3,000,000 USD.
