Psychonauts 2's Release Date May Have Leaked Through Steam

Psychonauts 2 developer Double Fine has been pretty quiet on when the long-awaited sequel will launch, but the cat may have been let out of the bag by a Steam listing.

As per a post on ResetEra, the game has a placeholder date of 2021, but when filtered by release date, things get a little more precise.

As user GrrimAFridge notes, the game was previously found among other titles with a vague release window of 2021, but it appears that's changed.

Now, when filtering by release date, the game can be found between a couple of other titles with confirmed release dates of 25th August 2021, suggesting it could launch on that date, too.

Sure, it's tenuous, but at this point we're so desperate to get our hands on the platforming adventure that we're filing this as a 'maybe'.

Of course, there's no guarantee, but presumably we'll hear more at Xbox's E3 conference next week.
