Psychonauts 2: How to Reach Blue Grapple Points


While exploring the weird and wonderful world of Psychonauts 2 you'll occasionally come across dark blue grapple points. These are linked to your Mental Connection ability, and can be used to reach additional areas. They cannot be grappled to until you've unlocked a certain upgrade. Psychonauts 2: How to Reach Blue Grapple Points

To reach the dark blue grapple points using your Mental Connection ability you will need to upgrade it. Once you've hit rank 30, the fourth upgrade for the Mental Connection power will be available. You'll need to spend Intern points to unlock it. You will then be able to use the 'Dark Thoughts' grapple points. Just make sure you have the power equipped to an action button, look at a Dark Thought and then press it to grapple up there.

What Are Dark Thoughts Used For?

Dark Thoughts are primarily used when going back through a level to 100% it. You'll be able to reach areas that you couldn't get to before, allowing you to collect more items and Baggage. These extra grapple points are basically used for platforming, and don't really have any use for connecting thoughts together in most cases.
