PlayStation owners have access to some of the best games in the world with subscriptions like PlayStation Plus but fans would be remiss to overlook the console giant's other subscription service. PlayStation Now is a similarly fantastic service, similar in many ways to Xbox Games Pass.

If you don't have the cash to splash on lots of new games, PS Now offers a decent alternative with relatively new titles released month after month. In 2021, we've seen Nier: Automata and Red Dead Redemption 2 added. That's on top of some decent exclusives like God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Nioh 2 and many more.

But what games do Sony have planned for us next month? Here's your complete guide to PS Now in December 2021.

What is PlayStation Now

PlayStation Now, often known as 'PS Now' is a subscription service only available to PlayStation owners on PS4 and PS5 consoles. It is not 'free, but does offer a 7 day trial to new subscribers. Essentially it gives active subscribers access to hundreds of PS4, PS3 and PS2 games, ready to play on-demand; with new games added every month.

For clarity, yes, that means the service doesn't include PS5 games, but it could change in the future. Sony Interactive Entertainment recently filed a new patent that could potentially bring PS5 games to PlayStation Now.

As noted, the games are available on-demand and that means you won't have to download them, as you play through the cloud. That said, you can choose to download some games if you would prefer having them on your console, rather than streaming from the cloud.

In addition, it doesn't matter if you stream or download, your PS Now subscription includes full access to all available online multiplayer modes.

Right now, there's no clues or leaks that suggest which games are being made available on PS Now in December, but we'll update this page with any rumours and leaks as we hear them.

PS Now December 2021 Release Date

New games are typically added to the PlayStation Now service on the first week of the month. Again, the date you have access to these games is dependant on your timezone, but everyone will get access at the same time.

We would imagine that any games added or leaving the service in December 2021 will be added on Tuesday 7th December.
