Are There Shiny Pokémon in New Pokémon Snap?
No, at time of writing all evidence points to the idea that Pokémon Snap will have no legendary Pokémon. This is according to early coverage from the site Serebii.net, whose coverage has claimed that Shiny Pokémon will not feature in the game. We’ll be sure to confirm this ourselves on the game’s release and update the page accordingly, but for now it seems that you won’t be able to find them in the game.
Will There Be Shiny Pokémon Added Later as DLC?
There’s no evidence to suggest that Pokémon Snap will have Shiny Pokémon added to the game later on, either as paid DLC or as free content updates. There’s actually been no official suggestion from Nintendo that there’ll be any DLC for the game whatsoever, reflected in the fact that there are currently no digital pre-order bonuses. Again, we’ll update this page if more info becomes available, and it's not like downloadable content has been ruled out altogether, but for now players shouldn’t anticipate such a change in the immediate future.
