Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are the next games in the Pokémon Series, and will release on November 18. The trailers have shown us key parts of what we can expect from the games. Several beautiful environments were teased, including a bustling town center, and rain-soaked fields inhabited by Psyducks. A lot of different Pokémon were in the trailer, Meowth, Lucario, and Swablu to name just a few. However, we're going to be focusing on an important trio that will be crucial to your adventure.

The trailer shows multiple environments, but are the games open-world? Read our guide to find out! There's also what we know about the Legendaries, and Professors, too.

Quaxly is a duckling Pokémon who is described as being earnest and tidy. This may mean that Quaxly's attacks are precise, even without being evolved, as it sounds like it doesn't enjoy mess or disorganisation. Will We Get More Than One Starter?

Something interesting came out of the new trailer for Scarlet and Violet. We see the three new starters with some cute closeups, and then cut to Nemona, the series' new rival. She then asks if you are 'these three's trainer?'. Now, this could just be added for the trailer, but could it also mean we start the game with all three starter Pokémon? For now, only time will tell.

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be released on the Nintendo Switch family of consoles. Catching Pokémon, training them, battling them, and having them at your side as a loyal companion is the heart and soul of any Pokémon game. However, exploring the world to find them is part of the fun. Check out our guide that answers if Scarlet and Violet are open-world to see if you'll be able to explore further than ever before.
