The Japanese company released a few more details on the land itself, implying that the region will take heavy inspiration from the Donkey Kong games. Offering rollercoasters and interactive experiences, the region will feature a jungle-like theme:

The area will feature a roller coaster, interactive experiences and themed merchandise and food. Guests will be able to take a walk on the wild side through the lush jungles where Donkey Kong and his friends live. The new area is set to open in 2024.

Universal Studios is also opening a Super Nintendo World in its Florida branch in 2025, though it remains to be seen whether this park will host the Donkey Kong expansion. Additionally, this news comes to us in the year of the maniacal ape's 40th anniversary.
