Modern Warfare 3 fans demand rework of 'dumbest' camo challenge

Modern Warfare 3 fans are demanding a rework to a camo challenge that's proving tricky to complete.

There are several camouflages to unlock in Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer and depending on which guns and weapons players select, some objectives are easier to complete than others.

With attention moving towards the launch of Season 1, many are still working their way towards the coveted mastery camos which require players to use every single weapon. One particular challenge is proving extremely frustrating for fans looking to get their hands on the Interstellar design.

After attempting to complete the challenges for the RGL 80 grenade launcher, user QuantumRavage took to Reddit to share their frustrations.

The player says: "This is the dumbest challenge in the game by far. I have been playing for three hours now and I have only destroyed 3. The challenge only works for Bouncing Betty's and Claymores and both need to be unlocked in the armoury so no one runs them."

In a bid to finish the challenge, some players have taken further steps to encourage others to lend a hand. One fan reveals: "I joined free-for-all matches with the clan tag set to RGL80 and asked if someone was willing to claymore trade." With some necessary cooperation, players are managing to complete arguably the hardest camo challenge in all of Modern Warfare 3.

The RGL 80 camo challenge only works if the grenades fired hit a claymore or proximity mine which can take several matches if opponents aren't using them as part of a loadout.

To improve the challenge, QuantumRavage suggests: "It should count for all equipment like claymores, proximity mines, scatter mines, shock sticks, and all field upgrades and the requirement should be turned down to 15."

Sledgehammer Games is no stranger to adjusting various aspects of Modern Warfare 3 based on the feedback of players. If frustrations surrounding the RGL 80 camo challenge continue to appear, there's every chance the difficulty of the objective is toned down.
