Warner Bros. has extended its reach into games, and now they've made a Smash Bros-alike featuring their own characters. Here's how to unlock characters in MultiVersus.
The game is free to play, to begin with, but can cost some money for extra characters, skins, and animations. The good news is that none of the games' stages are locked - all of them are available to players whether they pay or not! This may be joined by free characters for everyone in the future, too, though this is just an assumption.

How To Unlock Characters In MetaVersus
Like a lot of other free-to-play games, extra characters can be unlocked with currency; be it earned in the game, or paid for with real money.
The two currencies used in MultiVersus are Coins and Gleamium, a game-specific currency that can only be obtained by buying it with real money.
Characters will cost either 2,000 Coins, or 700 Gleamium from the store. Some can only be bought with Coins, which are:
- Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Garnet, Steven Universe, and Arya Stark
You can unlock each character as you go, or purchase the Founders Pack. This unlocks all available characters at once, but these packs start at $40/£40.
There are other skins and costumes available for each character too, but these are locked behind paywalls or the Battlepass, of which there are two options - one is free, and one is paid.
The skins cost around 1,500 Gleamium each, and other items like Taunts, Banners, and Animations will cost a few Gleamium too.
How To Get Gleamium
To get Gleamium in MultiVersus, you'll need to spend your real-life money. There are a few different packs available for now:
- 450 - £3.99/$4.99
- 1,000 - £7.99/$9.99
- 2,200 - £15.99/$19.99
- 6,000 - £39.99/$49.99
What Characters Are There In MultiVersus?
For now, there are 16 characters on the roster for MultiVersus. Four of these are available for free to begin with (Shaggy, Jake The Dog, Harley Quinn, Taz), and Wonder Woman can be unlocked after finishing the tutorials.
