Monster Hunter Rise Update 3.0 Changes: Release Date, Monsters, Price and Everything We Know

Monster Hunter Rise has been a big success for Capcom, and they're giving it some strong post-launch support. As part of the Monster Hunter May Presentation they revealed the full details for 3.0.

Bringing new monsters and fresh story content, we don't have long to wait, and here's everything we know so far.

Monster Hunter Rise 3.0 Details

Now that Capcom have revealed the full details for the May update to Monster Hunter Rise, we can take a look at what we'll be sinking our teeth into come May 27. Here are the main talking points:

• New ending
• Apex Zinogre available in Rampage and standard quests.
• Crimson Glow Valstrax hunt.
• New Hairstyles, face paint, poses and stickers.
• Standard quests for Apex Rathalos and Apex Diablos
• New Palico and Palamute Armour
• A new combat locale will be available.
• New weapon trees, armor, and layered armor will be available.
• New skills and Rampage Skills will be available.
• You can change the appearance of Rampage weapons using certain materials.
• New Guild Cards

Monster Hunter Rise 3.0 Release Date

Monster Hunter Rise Version 3.0 will launch on May 27. We don't have exact timings for you yet, but the last update launched in the early hours of the morning so we can expect it to be the same here.

Monster Hunter Rise 3.0 Price

Good news, this update will be free to all players. You just need to update the game once it becomes available. Make sure you save and quit to check whether the update can be installed.

Monster Hunter Rise 3.0 Download Size

Capcom's confirmed this latest update will be 1.4GB. If you've not downloaded the Launch Day/Version 2.0 updates yet, you'll need 2.9GB of space.

Monster Hunter Rise 3.0 Monsters

There are two new monsters coming to Monster Hunter Rise as part of the 3.0 update. The first is Crimson Glow Valstrax, a variant of the flagship monster from Generations Ultimate. It will available to hunt in standard quests.

Also being added is Apex Zinogre. This monster will feature golden lightning attacks and can be taken on in Rampage Quests as well as standard quests. Finally, Apex Rathalos and Apex Diablos will be available to hunt in standard quests.

Monster Hunter Rise 3.0 New Ending

During the April 2021 Digital Event, Capcom announced that Version 3.0 will contain an additional story chapter, which takes place after the ending. The new ending has been revealed to show Wind Serpent Ibushi and Thunder Serpent Narwa coming together for a climactic finale. Little more is known beyond that, except that a new quest will be available once the update drops.
