Monster Hunter Rise: How to Change Character Appearance
To change your appearance in Monster Hunter Rise you just need to head to any Item Box. Once you’re there, select ‘appearance settings’. Now, select ‘Change Appearance’. You’ll be taken to the character creator that you used when starting the game. Change whatever you like.
How to Change Body Type
Since the most recent 2.0 update to Monster Hunter Rise, players can change their Body Type - but there's a catch. This isn't a free service, as each time you do it you'll burn up a Character Edit Voucher, which can only be bought from the Nintendo eShop as paid DLC, not earned in-game. You can edit all the other physical details for free as mentioned above, but if you want to do a complete rehaul of the character, you'll need to pay for the privilege. These vouchers get cheaper when bought in bulk, but the least you'll need to pay is £2.69.
Once you have a Voucher, you'll see it listed on the Save Data select screen when you boot up the game, when choosing which file you want to play. Select it here to edit your character, instead of going into the save itself.
Can You Change Your Character's Name?
No, at time of writing there is no way to change your character's name, even via a paid Character Edit Voucher. It's possible this feature could be added later, and we'll be sure to update this page if it is, but currently you're stuck with whatever name you choose when you first created the Save file. Sorry about that.
