Sonic x Minecraft DLC Released To Celebrate 30 Years Of Sonic The Hedgehog


Mojang and Sega have partnered with a new DLC pack for Minecraft players, where they can speed around the remastered chunky Sonic the Hedgehog maps while collecting rings, defeating enemies, and dashing past obstacles as they try to reach a high score.

Minecraft is often known for its collaborations, whether it be for mini-games or skin packs, Minecraft has seen many different types of content added into the game.

Play as Sonic and friends, as you try to speed through the Green Hills Zone and Chemical Plant Zone, and reach that high score, all while unlocking achievements, characters, new zones, and a challenging Eggman Mode.

There will also be a limited-time free character creator item that can be downloaded from the marketplace, so don't forget to grab it while it's still available.

The Hive community mini-game server is also having a two-week Sonic takeover, where they will hold special events and other surprises.

This collaboration comes just a few weeks after the official 30th-year anniversary event of Sonic the Hedgehog, where Sega showed off remastered Sonic Colors, a collection of the original three games, with Sonic & Knuckles, and a new Sonic title that will define the next generation of Sonic games.

The Sonic x Minecraft DLC is available now in the Minecraft marketplace and is 1340 Minecoins.
