SNK has announced that Omega Rugal arrives The King of Fighters 15 as a free DLC fighter on April 14 ,alongside a new Boss Challenge Mode. Most fans figured that the members of Team South Town - Geese Howard, Billy Kane, and Ryuji Yamazaki - would be the next DLC characters so this is a huge surprise.
Often known as one of KOF's hardest bosse, getting the chance to defeat him in the new Boss Challenge Mode is an ideal scenario for fans. Many felt 15's inal fight in King of wasn’t hard enough, so having a notoriously difficult boss return as free DLC should be pleasing them.
Omega Rugal Arrives in King of Fighters 15 as Free DLC
Defeating Omega Rugal in Boss Challenge Mode unlocks his Omega Armor Costume, a new stage, and a new song. There's decent free content here, so it;ll be interesting to see what SNK adds more to King of Fighters 15 in the future.
King of Fighters 15 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Rock Howard, B. Jenet, and Gato are DLC fighters now available for purchase as Team Garou, Team South Town launches this May, with two more DLC teams coming.
